Ultraviolet Therapy, aka Photo-oxidation therapy, is a biological healing modality that uses ultraviolet irradiation of the blood (with UV Ultraviolet C light) to produce beneficial photochemical reactions. As the blood is withdrawn it is exposed to UV light on the way into the bottle. Ozone, in a mixture of oxygen with 78 ug/ml ozone concentration, is then bubbled into the blood and mixed briefly. This mixture is then re-infused through the same needle.

Are these Therapies safe?

This combination treatment is a powerful weapon to help in the fight against many chronic diseases. In combination, these two treatments address most of the common biological denominators in the disease process at the cellular level. The two treatments, when combined, may:

• Increase the oxygen carrying capability
• Correct the mitochondrial energy deficits in the blood
• Stimulate the lymphatic detoxification in the blood
• Activate immune system cells and cytokine production to aid in destruction of all types of micro-organisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi
• Increase intracellular antioxidants against oxidative stress.

How Many Treatments Are Needed and How Often Are They Given?

In chronic conditions, one to three treatments per week is common until a response is obtained. Most patients, such as those with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, or arthritis, may take two treatments a week for three weeks, and then once a week for 4 weeks. In recurrent genital herpes and shingles, a special unique protocol is utilized. In those cases, daily treatments are given during an outbreak. The result of that is that the outbreak is usually much shorter and the patient experiences much less pain. If there is another outbreak the treatment is given again, but after treatments the time between outbreaks increases, and in some cases is prevented from recurring.
